This is a pretty example of fashion accessories devoted to the idea of Afterlife and Mourning. Antique 1880s Victorian carved Whitby Jet and Vulcanite bracelet. Beautiful unusual carvings design. The bangle is wide and features rounded edge links. A nice and minimalist carved beaded bracelet. Can be worn in weddings, religious activities and as mourning accessory. Whitby jet was made popular by Queen Victoria after Prince Albert died and she went into mourning and only worn black.
Condition: a few links have tiny chips, very hard to notice. The center bead has two thin crack lines of unknown origin but probably a reparation done time ago, please look at the last photo.
